@cjohn4043 @costiwhinn I think that's right, and maybe also less presence of atheism, which makes people more ready to have faith in the miraculous. Not necessarily more ready to have saving faith that leads to obedience to Christ (see eg Mt. 9:27-31). They have other pitfalls besides atheism I'm sure.

@costiwhinn I think almost no reasonable continuationist would claim to have the gift to the same degree of power & consistency that Paul had! Just like most cessationist preachers don't claim to have the the gift of teaching to the degree Paul had—though I'm sure you approach it, brother :)

@ZachWLambert I think you have in mind a Christian's gentleness, for example, and amen to that. That is a Christlikeness that we should aspire for. But it is a mutilated Christ whose gentleness is severed from his holiness, sir! A gentle approval of homosexuality looks more like the devil.
