My cat is out of surgery. I’ll be holding onto him tightly tonight, wishing I could take him to the showing of I Love Boosters in Houston. He loves the OST (fav song Dr. Jack’s theme), but no cats allowed in theaters. Maybe someday I’ll get to meet Boots Riley. New life dream.
@BellaBaddie__ Okay, but I had a computer in 1995.
So I’m watching Sailor Moon, while playing with my Catz on the Windows95. Would be ChexQuest if it’s one year later.
The stop motion skinless ppl in I Love Boosters were painstakingly done frame-by-frame, by hand, by @theMoonsMilk & David Lauer & their company of animators at Mystery Meat Media, based in Oakland!
Theres no AI or even CGI in our movie (we have VFX- comping, cleanup- but no CGI)

A small poem, dedicated to Amazon:

Perhaps
You can be saved
From yourself,
Because it will not calm down
And will
In fact
Calm up

Please, everyone sell this place out. My cat has a surgery on Thursday, so I really have to stay home for him, and shouldn’t make the drive. C’mon, Houston! I know YOU LOVE BOOSTERS.
Houston?
It just so happens we're doing a screening of I Love Boosters in Houston this Thursday.
I'll be in convo w Kendrick Sampson (I'm A Virgo, Michael).
Everybody come through!

@BashingFeminism@RealPostFolder She’s useless, but HE is worthless.
911 would have been trying to give him directions (typically chest compressions, if the person is unconscious, and don’t move the damn patient), but he was busy screaming at his girlfriend, and dragging his dad around their home.
@BootsRiley First viewing was only three people in my theater. Second time around, I lured some friends in with the soundtrack, and then there were a few other groups of 2-6 people. It was incredible with a crowd. See it with as many people as possible!
@GoodBoy97773735@rarebitfiend13@FreddyLA7 These days, I don’t even take side streets after certain hours, but more out of concern for being mugged than being killed.
@rarebitfiend13@FreddyLA7 Stay in the tourist spots. Know exactly where you’re going after dark. I’ve never had an issue there, even drunkenly wandering around Mardi Gras. People who have never been there LOVE to talk about it like everyone dies when they visit.
@eboifrend@BootsRiley Highly recommend a musical Tune-Yards road trip before the film. Boots Riley suggested playing the score and soundtrack on the way to the theater, and that was so incredibly correct. I made the trip an hour across town on max volume. Super worth it.
