The aim of Plastic-Free Furzedown is to work with individuals, business and local community groups to help eliminate single-use plastic in the community.
How are you getting crafty this Christmas? Today we made homemade wreaths only using items foraged from the garden and parks and some leftover ribbon. Have you tried wreath making? #plasticfree#homemadewreath#wreath
It’s the first day of advent and we are sending out a reminder to shop locally and think about buying your fruit and veggies plastic free. #plasticfree#furzedown

@wandbc@wandbc can you please provide an update on recycling sacks? I am still aware of many residents without bags and no sign of any being delivered. The article above is over a month old and clearly no action is being taken. This is not good enough. @LondonRecycles
@wandbc can you inform residents of the best way to receive recycling sacks? Many residents have been waiting 5/6 weeks and still haven’t received any. This is not good enough. We understand there is increased waste to collect - but let residents continue to #recycle!
@adamseymourd @wandbc Very well spotted. I read the date as 22nd May, but you are right that it was over a month ago. @wandbc clearly this is taking quite some time to deliver to residents.
Do you use wax wraps as an alternative to cling film? How do you like them and what are your top tips? Tonight I finally got round to refreshing my old wraps by ironing them. Super easy and now they feel brand new. #plasticfree#waxwraps#beeswaxwraps#saynotoplastic
