According to the Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics (BAHS) 2025 report, India’s per capita availability of meat for the year 2024-25 has increased to 7.51 kg per person per year, reflecting steady growth in meat production and wider access to animal-based protein across the country. This improvement indicates progress in the livestock sector and its contribution towards nutrition and food security.

We extend our sincere thanks to @FinMinIndia, @dept_of_ahd & Govt. of India for the reduction of GST on poultry inputs. This progressive step will empower small farmers, strengthen the poultry sector, and support nutritional security for the nation.
