I don’t know what it is about this story, but something about this story is exactly why I keep coming back to Scaffold Lit every week. Why this is one of my favorite online spaces. I don’t know how to articulate it. I don’t think, in fact, it wants to be articulated. Which might be another reason why I want to exist in this space from Sunday-to-Sunday. This place that is always different. But never has set rules. The visitor has to learn the rules every time they step in. Often the visitor returns to the world outside of this world with a new set of rules to impose on the world outside the world inside.
