School was FUN today. I had a class with 12 actual students. Real people! A student actually shared work on the board! Students were talking to each other about math (and other stuff 😊). It was like real school again!
Just finished a great lesson on Domain and Range using #Desmos It is a topic students often struggle with but individual help showed better understanding. Remote learning gave me the opportunity to work quickly with individual students.
It was a great day! When you find out you changed a formers students perspective on math and that you made an impact on them...it makes your heart full! #happyteacher
In less than an hour I was able to “pop in” to “visit” 9 math classes today. I saw students engaging in meaningful discussions, Desmos, Classflow, whiteboards, OneNote, and online textbooks!
Great day in the building with the Math Team. Started with a wordless birthday line up, Mission Statement Mad Libs, and school phrase Pictionary. Then we got serious with plans for this year.
It’s August! Have you started your Summer Math Hike on Schoology yet? This is your opportunity to finish last year’s learning to get ready for the new school year.
Check out my wife Mrs. Crispens and her awesome Pre Algebra class
