It's 54 years since Pink Floyd released Meddle, which spent 85 weeks on the UK album charts.
With a gatefold cover (shown here opened up) featuring a close-up of an ear, one side of the album is host to the epic Echoes. Coincidentally, on this day in 2001, a Pink Floyd compilation of the same name was released! Here's pictures of both:
Pink Floyd performing “Echoes” live at the ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii, Italy — 1971. 🌋✨
How do you even write music like this? How far ahead of their time were they?
This isn’t just a performance… it’s absolute magic.

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii
(prima parte)
“One of These Days” e
“A Saucerful of Secrets”.
Ogni brano fu eseguito in sezioni separate e poi montate assieme.

Pink Floyd released Meddle in 1971😎
It has always been one of my favourite
albums! “One Of These Days” & “Echoes”
are just two of the classics on this one!❤️
