@AshiaHackett Second time is the charm. I was in a similar position to yours and made it work out to get into NSGY. Happy that you persevered. Feel free to reach out if you want any advice.
@OscarVazquezMD No problem. I know what you’re going through wholeheartedly. Being a preliminary resident…not once but twice does something to you that most people won’t understand. Def feel free to reach out!
@OscarVazquezMD I feel your pain 💯 %. I was in your exact situation last year. Took me three times to get into Neurosurgery. I did a PGY 1 & 2 general surgery training prior to my current PGY-1 neurosurgery position. Your your dream is within grasp!
NEW: Ernest J. Barthélemy et al present a review and analysis of the historical determinants of neurosurgical inequities as understood by a group of scholars who share Sub-Saharan African descent. https://t.co/cZUd9u74jo
ASBN is happy to kick off the new year with the First Annual ASBN Virtual #Neurosurgery Resident Job Seminar, Jan 21st! Addressing all things post-residency that we never get to formally learn about! See flyer for details! #nsgy#medtwitter@CNS_Update@AANSNeuro@AANSNeurosurg
I can attest to this - over the years, @OAdogwa has become someone that many #nsgy residents in trouble will reach out to. Our hope, with the antiracist work @amsobns and @OAdogwa have been doing, is that far fewer residents will needlessly find themselves in these situations
