🎉My qualitative paper on positive body image in autistic folks is finally here! https://t.co/uzE5Mjw2Ee
Here, we found PBI to encompass both the 'aesthetic' (how the body looks) and 'sensory' body (how the body feels) among autistic adults. #ActuallyAutistic
My undergraduate student is looking for #ADHD folks to take part in her qualitative study on #bodyimage.

My MSc students are conducting an important research project exploring body image and eating behaviours among men. While we know that men can and do struggle with these issues, it remains a topic that is often under-researched and overlooked.

Autistic women or non-binary participants (18+) needed📢
We would like to hear your valuable expertise in reviewing an intervention that aims to prevent body image concerns and disordered eating. For more info, please email Hannah at [email protected]
@heasutherland This is really useful to see someone describe what their revisions were. I often feel there's taboo around it, even though it's to be expected. I have my viva on the 4th and I'm nervous to think of what revisions it'll need 😭😬
As part of my MSc dissertation, I’m exploring the risk and protective factors associated with eating disorders in autistic and/or ADHD individuals. I invite you to complete the survey.

We need more researchers whose reflexivity make them say, "I am not the best person to do this research or to lead this research project, so I am not going to do it."
And less of those who do the research anyway despite their ‘limitations’ and try to justify their choice.
3 weeks later... the 'Get Britain Working' Green Paper detailing extensive cuts to benefits with immeasurable impact on Disabled people has finally been published in accessible formats, which you can access here 👇

Looking forward to this exhibition of images of autistic individuals experiences of eating disorders and what we should be researching. It's free, in Edinburgh in time for #EDAW25 and we will be also showing it later online on EDACs website for those who can't make it in person
