HCM Dr. @himantabiswa today reviewed the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts in the flood-affected districts of Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat and Golaghat with the respective District Commissioners.

HCM directed the DCs to expedite the submission of the list of affected families to enable the release of financial assistance from August 3, ensure uninterrupted distribution of relief kits, complete damage assessment of educational institutions ahead of the reopening of schools on August 10 and submit the list of damaged Namghars for early restoration support.

HCM also informed that the comprehensive flood damage assessment will begin on August 9.

Honouring the Enduring Legacy of Sahityaratna Lokshahir AnnaBhau Sathe

Glad to be present at the bhoomipujan and stone plaque unveiling of the 'Sahityaratna Lokshahir Anna Bhau Sathe Research and Training Institute' being developed by the Slum Rehabilitation Authority, Brihanmumbai, along with DCM Eknath Shinde ji.

The construction of a grand memorial for Sahityaratna Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe gained momentum in 2024. The project was entrusted to the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA), with a commitment to ensuring the proper rehabilitation of every resident. We are determined to complete the memorial by 2029 and it will be inaugurated by Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji.

Lokshahir Anna Bhau Sathe made extraordinary contributions to India's freedom struggle, the Goa Liberation Movement and the Sanyukta Maharashtra Movement. Through his literature, he gave voice to the marginalised and working class, inspiring generations with his courage, conviction and commitment to social justice. His literary legacy transcended borders, earning global recognition, including the installation of his statue in Russia.

The Research and Training Institute being established as part of this memorial will empower the youth of the community and help them become active participants in Maharashtra's development journey.

The work on the grand memorial of Adya Krantiguru Krantiveer Lahuji Vastad Salve in Pune is progressing steadily, with nearly 65% of the project already completed and we remain committed to completing it at the earliest.

This is a very important decision taken by the Union Cabinet led by Adarniya @narendramodi ji.

Under Semicon 1.0, Bharat got the initial kickstart in the semiconductor space and in Assam, that kickstart already has a face- our ₹27,000cr semiconductor facility at Jagiroad, which is set to start production this year.

With Semicon 2.0, the entire ecosystem will be developed so that Bharat becomes fully Atmanirbhar in this all-important technology.

This is the long-term vision of the Hon'ble Prime Minister to attain self-reliance in critical technology and secure Bharat's interests and Assam is fully prepared to build on Jagiroad and play an even bigger role in this mission.
