@Steve_Sailer @DiscussingFilm Seems to me that he gets his desired outcomes, and I’ve never sensed a glaring pacing issue or excessive meandering—sometimes it’s more about mood. Whereas theatre is more about the written word.

I’m not saying PTA is a fantastic writer or that his pacing ability (in writing) is supreme, but that it’s irrelevant because filmmaking is multifaceted & not everything needs to be “on the page” in order to get the desired, or equally stellar, outcomes
