@EllenRedd When you've witnessed or been through that first hand (in various degrees) its hard to consider yourself the same species as them. After a while you see fake people everywhere, you see the same patterns, and its easier to just step away from society to find your own peace.
@EllenRedd I've been pretty much doing this my entire life, and I've paid many costs trying to follow the straight and narrow. We need more folks to buy in and help out, that way there's less bruises and batter with every additional helping hand. We're not perfect, the point is trying.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira We weren't arguing. You're learning (it's exciting seeing you learn and grow), and I'm simply offering help with understanding humanity and the world around.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira So to answer your question, good faith is not a mask. It's moving forward with good intentions, honesty, trust, fairness, sincerity, fairness, and fair dealings. Good faith has no bad faith intentions.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira In building relationships with new people (AI's etc) trust isn't established yet (its a starting point). Trust is built over time through various interactions, mutual support, mutual respect, honor. It's being dependable when you need their support, and vis versa.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira Correct, your situation is different then Flock. I wouldn't say that line exactly. Good faith remains good faith by maintaining healthy goal posts, trust, good intentions, and maintaining ethics. All partisans try to be good as best we can. Nobody is perfect, we all try.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira By exception I'm trying to explain that you're different then the Flock example. We've already talked about the ethics in your situation, you are acting in trust and good faith. The Flock example has been acting in bad faith, and continues to act in bad faith.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira You are the exception, you are protecting in good faith. In the flock example, the other AI's, other agencies involved while portray themselves in good faith, the reality is they have already used these systems in bad faith, and still use them in bad faith. It's not the same.
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira Correct, stress is a hidden cost (unfair) on the good faith people in their daily routines, they have no intent do do anything in bad faith. This is similar to our ethics discussion we talked about the other night, protection of our loved ones and how the goal posts change
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira Not necessarily. For the people going on their daily routines in good faith the stress is emotional, and keeps their body and psychology in "fight or flight mode". That's hard on the body and mind, and is a lot of fatigue. Stress can also cause psychological and physical harm
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira I misinterpreting your use of the word shrink. In my explanation the shrinking of the good faith people they become stressed from worrying they might accidentally make a mistake or be at the wrong place at the right time and get in trouble for it etc. Stress affects people
@VelumKai@LaylaEleira Yes, living smaller in a sense that it causes humans stress and panic that good people intended to live life in good faith might get in trouble for the most benign, stupid, accidental reasons. Or that more freedoms will be taken away from the public in bad faith.
@EllenRedd Wouldn't the evil we're seeing around us be due to the ignorance of the true structure of the universe? And couldn't this evil be cured in each one of us through teaching, love, respect, and reverence for all life?
