MEET THE ANTS
#OTD 1978: Adam & the Ants play the Roxy, Covent Garden 7/1
"The first attraction was the energy - watching Adam jumping up and down like a mad man attacking sometimes band members and at other times the audience..."
~ The Roxy - A Punk History, Paul Marko
On this day, 1st August 1978, Adam & The Ants play the 2nd of 2 nights at the Moonlight Club in Hampstead.

So,
we were saving this for Monday's #OTD but in a terribly sad (but appropriate) change to schedule we are tonight saying goodbye and thank you to @aanightingale for bringing Adam & the Ants to the Old Grey Whistle Test.
Their finest TV performance.
Rest in Punk, Annie x

[7] KINGS OF THE WILD FRONTIER
Quite a lot of drums on this one.
Repeated overdubbing of tom toms
for hours on end. For me that was bliss.
It is the title track of the album for all the
right reasons. My absolute top AATA tune.
