I waited for and dreamed about this moment for so many years that now that it has actually happened, I don’t think I’ve fully processed it yet. So I’ll probably have a lot more to say over the next few days while I gather my thoughts, the kind of thoughts that come when something so wonderful happens that you’re not quite sure how to react.
But there is one thing I want to say.
Seeing firsthand the all encompassing way Bright loves the people who support him is truly eye opening.
Because not everyone is like that. Because it’s not something you should take for granted. Because it’s not something he owes anyone.
And yet, there he is.
No matter how hot it is, no matter how rushed he might be, he doesn’t leave anyone behind. Not even the people who aren’t there specifically for him. Not even the ones standing further back, struggling to get closer. He makes sure everyone leaves with a smile.
And he’s grateful. You can see it in the way he looks at you with genuine affection, in the way he says yes to every request, in the way he asks people to repeat their questions if he didn’t understand them because he truly wants to answer, in the way he never stops smiling at everyone, without distinction.
You look into his eyes and you can see his heart.
And I will never forget that feeling.
There’s a reason why he deserves all this love, why people shout his name, why they’re willing to wait for hours under the burning sun and catch flights at a moment’s notice.
And that reason isn’t his tv shows, his fashion campaigns, or his songs. Those are all just a bonus.
It’s the wonderful person he is and the incredibly kind heart he has.
Because no beauty shines brighter than a good heart. 🤍
