So...
🥁 please
Here's today's ❓ for your thoughts:
What skills do entry-level pharmacists need to have, independent of post-grad practice setting?

Good morning @AACPharmacy#VirtualPharmEd friends! ☕️
Come join @DeniseRhoney during "Microsessions: Virtual Delivery" this morning. She’ll help you find “small change” opportunities to integrate learning sciences with technology to promote deep learning. #PharmEdChangeDrivers
We remind ourselves that not everything has to be taught in 4 y. How can we envision a lifetime education model that builds on better alignment with postgrad training & CPD? Perhaps COPs can't be "cathedrals" but can we be hubs for lifetime learning? #PharmEdChangeDrivers (6/6)
@BJDSOP_ADAA@brentnreed@SC_Pharmacist@CJohnsonRx …and we think that could be happening in undergrad programs, might we get our basic scientists involved in bridging that “divide” back toward the disciplines that many of them mastered to earn their own PhDs? A new opportunity to impact #PharmEd by an underutilized resource?
@BJDSOP_ADAA@brentnreed@SC_Pharmacist@CJohnsonRx LOVE this conversation - our hive 🧠 is getting full!
We wanted highlight a different role for basic science faculty in the pipeline question. If we’d like to see a 🔼 (delta) in the critical thinking skills of entering students…
@BJDSOP_ADAA@SC_Pharmacist@CJohnsonRx I agree the science of the drugs and how they interact in the body both on and off target is the root of our role in preventing, identifying and treating medication therapy problems. Pharmacist are working with patients that fall off the guidelines
@SC_Pharmacist@BJDSOP_ADAA@CJohnsonRx Definitely NOT advocating for waiting! Or advocating for NOT waiting?
Just wondering about being (or helping to make) the change we want to see in the world. Lots of pipeline details could be addressed. Perhaps a role for our basic-sciences colleagues? #PharmEdChangeDrivers

@BJDSOP_ADAA@CJohnsonRx Re 1️⃣ undergrad ed - we agree, Tim! Should #PharmEd get more involved addressing our student (future practitioner) pipeline? Higher ed process; student valuation of critical thinking in pharmacy; student experience; all of the above; other aspects? #PharmEdChangeDrivers
