KENAS has presented a continued accreditation with an extension of scope ceremonial certificate to @AAR_Healthcare Limited Laboratories for ISO 15189:2022. This accreditation covers AAR’s laboratories at Sarit Centre, Karen, City Centre, and Williamson, affirming their commitment to providing high-quality, reliable, and internationally recognized medical testing services.
Accreditation is a recognition of inherent competence within a medical laboratory, and it assures that the laboratory’s processes and results meet internationally recognized standards. By being accredited under ISO 15189:2022, AAR Healthcare Limited is not only enhancing its operational efficiencies but also reinforcing trust and credibility in the healthcare services it provides.
Ms. Elizabeth Wasunna, MD of AAR Healthcare, emphasized that quality is their priority, stating that patients need reliable outcomes, and accreditation assures them that they are in safe hands. "Accreditation provides assurance that we don't compromise on quality," she said.
Dr. Annastacia Mpungu echoed the importance of continuous improvement in healthcare, noting that quality cannot be costed, and the value people place on it is what drives their willingness to pay for reliable services. She emphasized how accreditation supports their goal of standardizing processes across their facilities, ensuring that patients receive the same high-quality care everywhere.
During the ceremony, Lucy Namu, KENAS Chief Manager Laboratories, stated that maintaining accreditation is challenging but essential for continuous improvement. She added that patients can have confidence in the care provided, as KENAS ensures a culture of excellence within accredited institutions.
With increased medical tourism, AAR Healthcare is well-positioned to serve the growing healthcare market across Africa, delivering high-quality, accredited medical services. Recently, a Minister from the Netherlands visited AAR’s Sarit Centre Laboratory, which is accredited by KENAS, and praised the exceptional quality of work being done there.
At KENAS, we are committed to supporting healthcare institutions like AAR Healthcare to uphold the highest standards and deliver trustworthy and reliable results to patients, both locally and internationally.
