One of the best habits I've ever build
Reading daily
Since I was a kid, I always enjoyed books like Harry Potter
I lost the habit in my 20s
Here's how I was able to regain it back
---
During the college
Books didn't play any part in my life
It was all about
- Parties
- Friends
- Women
Sure, there was books from school
But not a single one I've selected
After college I started coaching tennis full time
Short after
I was able to acquire wonderful B2B sales job from a massive brand house in brewing industry
Corporate lifestyle kicked in
It was full focus on work
Years past by
Sure I enjoyed time with
- Spouse
- Friends
- Sports
Almost every day
I still didn't had any interest in books
---
I remember when Covid hit
I got layed off from work
1 month
Everyone was devastated
I was super excited
No mandate to work
So much things I've always wanted to do but never had time!
Sound familiar?
I chose investing
Haven't done much of it
Good money was flowing in monthly
Needed to put there somewhere
I decided to focus on it
Searched the best books on the topic
Bought myself one
Main thing I was looking for was
1. Easy to read
2. Not so long
Check
This exact moment changed everything
---
I started to build the habit without knowing
Here are the best findings
1) Start small
I read 10 pages a day
Sure I missed few days
But I finished the book in 10 days
Don't set too big goals
Relax and enjoy
(It also helps you to fall asleep)
2) Keep the book close
I wouldn't have finished it
If the book would have been somewhere hidden
I kept it next to my bed
Always on sight
Less change for skipping
3) Pick something that interest you
I'd never finished it if I wouldn't find it interesting
Same happens with books from school
You haven't picked those
Instead
Choose the one towards your interest
- Skills you are learning
- Things you want to improve
- Stories that might inspire you
4) Give it a time
Some books take time to marinate
Make sure you give them enough love
At least read few chapters
Then be the judge
I've canceled few books in the early journey, since they were too challenging for myself
It's fine
Once they become more relevant
Go back and see how they feel now
Reading always take time
Practice it
---
Reading has changed my life for good
Best findings I've discovered so far
1) Inner peace
2) Better Focus
3) Better life path
4) Stronger Mindset
Today
I continue reading on daily basis
Books truly hold wisdom
Start today my friend
---
Thanks for reading,
I could have gone more but let's keep things short and snappy
If you find it valuable
1) Do share it with others
2) Share your thoughts or best practices in comments
Yours Sincerely,
Pathfinder
@FocusProb Hell yeah man!
I'm more of a people person, so working with local businesses is way more natural to me.
If you compared full online business!
But hey, this is just me! Still figuring out what to do with Pathfinder... Maybe I should just switch to PB...
@FocusProb It's all good! Helping local businesses to build better reputation and online presence!
Everything is rolling now (: It's only repetitions now, sales and marketing and of course service delivery!
How you been man? Still in Bali?
Why do companies attract customers for free – and still become the most valuable in the world?
Steal this model from Google!
This is one of my favorite frameworks!
Every successful company has 4-product ecosystem
1) Gifts (Free products)
2) P4P – Products for Prospects
3) CP – Core Products
4) P4C – Products for Clients
Let’s take Google as an example.
They own their micro-niche
"Search".🔎
Gifts (Free products)
> Gmail, Search, Calendar, Cloud storage, Business profiles, etc.
P4P – Products for Prospects
> Google Workspace, Gemini, Ads, Cloud storage.
Core Products - Main revenue stream
> Advertising, Google Network, Cloud services.
P4C – Upselling to existing customers
> YouTube Ads, Pixel Phones, Google Play Store, etc.
That’s how you build an ecosystem.
✔ Free products attract an audience.
✔ P4P builds trust & converts leads.
✔ Core products drive revenue.
✔ P4C increases customer lifetime value.
Just to let you guys now, I started my first company in December 2024.
