@Johnrockdoc Government imposed price reductions on a generic drug industry risks a supply shortage that will eventually eliminate availability without going back to using the more expensive Brand medication.

@Johnrockdoc What avenues are available for small - rural pharmacies to obtain supply? Checking the wholesaler webpage shows multiple generics not available or on allocation. Government runs the risk of having to deal with the giant McKessan who has the ability to dictate!

@Johnrockdoc Your officials have been appraised of this scenario in the past and a court action by CICPO to not allow Sanis products on the formulary was initiated. Small businesses are at risk due to poor policy along with patients being left without adequate supply safeguards.

@Johnrockdoc NLPDP will not pay for Brand Micardis because Sanis generic medication is available to stores who have access. This presents a difficult business and health issue for Pharmacies without supply ultimately affecting patients.

@Johnrockdoc St. Mary's Pharmacy can't purchase any generic Telmisartan from our wholesaler. Only product available is Sanis brand which is the private label for Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart. I would have to open new account with McKessan and guarantee them a large % of sales!
