We demand too much from healthcare workers and rarely do much for them.

Sometime last year, somebody said, "Lawyer on the TL, how do i do xyz?" and the whole comment section was filled with "na you pay my school fees now" and variations of these sort.

We have popular lawyers here, too. They do not give free legal services. Some do pro bono, and it's offline.

The job description of a doctor and a pharmacist does not directly translate to this. You could speak to the better conscience. But what you should not do is: "WHEN WILL MEDICAL DOCTORS AND PHARMACIST WHO ARE POPULAR INFLUENCERS START EDUCATING PEOPLE ON HOW TO IDENTIFY FAKE DRUGS."

IT IS NOT THEIR JOB.

If you’re a tenant in Lagos, please don’t sign a tenancy agreement that says your rent is for a FIXED TERM OF ONE YEAR. Don’t do it! You’ll regret it.

That clause is a legal trap set by lawyers acting for landlords. It means you’ve agreed to stay for only that one year and once it’s up, they can ask you to leave without serving a notice to quit (as allowed under Section 13 of the Lagos State Tenancy Law, 2011).

In simple terms: once the year ends, you pack out. Don’t sign a fixed-term tenancy agreement.
