“Project 2025” is evoked in response to people objecting to Biden’s nomination but then no explanation is given for how reelecting Biden saves us from the hush hush “Project 2025”
@AdilKhan2200@RonFilipkowski@Acyn The only "real change" we're going to see is fewer services at higher costs and Republican cronies lining their pockets when things are "privatized".
I've seen how Republicans govern.
@KEBrightbill A month ago I tried to tell the fark politics tab that their tired old "miss Lindsey" jokes are stupid and hateful and unfunny. I got some really dumb replies in return.
Some day soon I'm leaving that place for good
@SirCujo@IsaacRowlett As someone on the left, I'm pretty confident saying that most of us think that "denial of reality" is a much, much bigger problem on the right. Two glaring examples, climate data and basic public health best practices.
This illustrates Isaac's point, I think.
@LarryBuhay@Taniel City of Milwaukee's budget depends entirely on what the Republican-controlled state legislature deigns to let them have. Every penny. Vital services have been cut, there's no extra money in the budget for additional employees or machines.
@BjBockhop@BucksinPhilly one day in must have been 2012 I was printing out hard copies of my resume in the Bay View library computer lab and Freeway kept interrupting me trying to invite me back to his place. "Maybe someday", I said.
He pestered me on FB about that for YEARS
@jrholtz I'm really enjoying Bluesky's users and overall vibe, but it's basically just Milwaukee twitter and maybe one or two special accounts that keeps me coming back to this place anymore
