First day of work due to being unwell. Migraine first one in months and feel so bad not going to work but definitely not safe to drive or work! Greatful for my boyfriend bringing me a warm drink, toast and pain relief at 5am!
I am so greatful for doing reflective practice at university, it's really helped me in my job and learning from difficult situations. Development and learning is key!
Annual leave today. So reflecting on a difficult phone call, a complex patient and my development over the previous months. 2 month probation review tomorrow, so getting nice and prepared. Have i actually been an occupational therapist for 2 months?!
Can't believe I've been working as an occupational therapist for 2 months. Still feels crazy amazing when I introduce my self to patients and next of kins as 'phoebe an occupational therapist'
Day off = reflections and processing my learning as a newly qualified occupational therapist! Setting goals for the next few weeks and reflecting on things that have happened!
Reflecting on my new job as a newly qualified OT; Its so important to have confidence in yourself and trust your clinical decisions! Looking back I have come so far and my confidence is growing! Its really amazing putting all the theory into practice and being part of an MDT!
Can't believe just approaching the end of week three as a qualified occupational therapist. Enjoying my rotation on care of the elderly/medicine. Learning alot and its very fast pace on the wards!!
Been very quite on here... Work going very well, slowly gaining more confidence. Not been afraid to ask for help. It's very strange going from student to qualified. I love how much I'm learning
Week one completed, it's felt scary and I've been getting lost around the hospital a lot 😂 excited for next week and see what the next few weeks bring!
