@TheDiamondYeYe@WonderbreadMMA He weighed 189.4 pounds when fighting JDM. What I wonder is what time they weighed Moicano (181) and Islam (178). In the morning? Was Islam still hydrating? He looked bigger and stronger, with a lower body fat percentage than Moicano and Poirier (176).
@jayjj476265@fizievhater@WonderbreadMMA So three different sources pointing at pretty much the same number. Not cutting more than 26 pounds but about 3-5 pounds less.
@OutOfC0ntextMMA It doesn't make sense, I get it... but Ben was wrestling and Tom has no other choice but to strike with a dirty fighter. At least allow him to recover enough to see a palm with extended fingers coming his way, since he can't see hammerfists and elbows to the back of his head.
@fizievhater@WonderbreadMMA He weighed 166 on the two fight nights, as a FW, where official data were released. He also claimed he weighed around 168-169 against Islam at LW. That's still less than Movsar reportedly weighs at FW (145 + 26 = 171).
@cartiplsdrop27@meyege_16@lefthookclub What I find most amusing is how people simply assume you're a die-hard fan of a fighter just because you believe he's better than another fighter. Personally, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed seeing Ilia get massacred by Justin, but I still have to respect his game regardless.
@KuzuWrld00@Joshua_dHoward@lefthookclub I just said that, at the time, it was likely one of the biggest fights in UFC history. If Islam had stayed, that fight would have eventually materialized. How many fights have UFC fans lost because the fighters weren't offered enough money? (excluding Jon)
@WonderbreadMMA Strictly from the patterns, without watching his fights, an analyst would conclude that he's chinny (dropped every other fight), wrestling-heavy (averaging about one TD per round), and that strong wrestlers/fighters with good TD defense would largely neutralise his game.
@ethanmma__ Do you know that Khabib is three years older? That means a lot when you're 16 and 19 years old. Also, the simple explanation is that Khabib was a bigger weight bully than Islam at 155.
@Joshharrop18379@lefthookclub We'll never know, but I truly believe that. There are arguments to support it. E.g., Ilia's win over Charles was more impressive than Islam's. Ilia has never been consistently controlled on the ground. Islam's chin at 155 was compromised due to a severe weight cut. Etc.
