@TMobileHelp Have been on a call with customer service for the last 1 hour 20 mins, transferred to 4 customer service, and yet no solution. Very very disappointing.

@TMobileHelp spent 20-25 mins speaking with customer service to add a new line. Confirmed shipping address in CA 3-4 times. Yet, the order email said shipping SIM card to NY! That’s for a newly arrived international student trying to get local cellphone to communicate. #DoBetter

@FromPhDtoLife soooo true! I often feel that way... and it’s sad. I also think that not many students in industrial hub feel that way - e.g. folks in Boston or Bay Area. it has to do with the diversity of the people you interact with during grad school - if it’s all academics, that explains :)

#rnaseq #stats tweeps. I am trying to understand what the parameters of negative binomial distribution correspond to for RNASeq data. For instance, X~NB(r,p); here X is the number of reads that map a gene; how do you estimate r and p?

2020 pushed our limits and redefined our ability to adapt. For me, it was an eye opener on how frickle life can be. Gave me a perspective on what really matters. My family, friends & mentors. Extremely thankful to have you all. Hoping for a safer & calmer 2021! #NewYear2021

@FromPhDtoLife I like having downtime. Also find it weird that I took pride in working during holidays and weekends — and thought it was a sign of being driven and motivated.
Once in a while is ok, every weekend is now a No-No

@SeeTedTalk @AnimaAnandkumar For tenure all that you need is papers at high impact avenues, grants, and “fame”. you don’t have to be good human being with decent values to get a #tenure. That is often a personal choice that #academics make. no space to evaluate values and leadership
