Finished my final lawn mow of the year this morning. It's only the seventh time I've done it this year as I had to wait for it to recover for 3 months due to the extreme warm weather.

Dracula has always been my favourite anti-hero since childhood and I love the silent 1922 film #Nosferatu by #FWMurnau with the score by Hammer composer #JamesBernard a perfect film to start the run up to Halloween 🎃

I can't stand people who send me text messages and delete them before I've responded 😤
How on earth do you expect me to answer you back.
For God's sake grow up.

I still can't get over that they are knocking Castleford swimming baths down and building 69 council houses on the playing field. I remember our weekly swimming lessons there from Henry Moore Middle School. I'll keep you updated on their progress.

There's a poignancy about turning over my @DollyParton calendar this month but you've got to love those Dollyism's because they will always be the best advice anyone can give.

Miss You Dolly 💔

THE MARTIANS ARE COMING....!

At midnight on the 12th of August a huge mass of luminous gas erupted from Mars and sped toward Earth.

I'm watching and listening to Jeff Wayne's Musical Version Of The War Of The Worlds.

I had a marvellous day at #Whitby for the Regatta yesterday. I've always loved this special place since our holidays there and it's connection to Bram Stoker's #Dracula
It was also good to see the Whalebone's for the last time before they are replaced. #WhitbyRegatta

Having watched the cult classic #TheKeep directed by #MichaelMann from a novel written by F Paul Wilson earlier this week I'm watching #AWorldWar2Fairytale The Making Of The Keep.
I've been a fan of the film, director the author ever since I was introduced to them as a teenager

Hello Sir @IanMcKellen I'm a great admirer of your film and acting career and you are a great LGBTQIA ally. I have had this novel of William Shakespeares Richard the third in my book collection for a long time and it features your signature on the inside.

I'm a big fan of @QTangerineDream and I've listened to these albums in the last couple of days and I'm still going. There's so much colour in this music that is much needed in dark dreary January

I've absolutely loved reading #TheAdversaryCycle by @fpaulwilson from beginning to end for the past 4 months.
I've spent so much time with the characters in these novels that began in #TheKeep they've felt like family.
The finest horror novels I've ever read.

THE GREEN GREEN GRASS OF GNOME.
Seen as gardening season has started i managed to mow the lawn for the first time this year. Mind you I had started a few days earlier by strimming those tuffty clumps of grass. It took 7 grass boxes in total.
