Did you manage to relax on the weekend?
I worked a bit too much on the weekend and now realise that my Monday productivety is not as good as it is normally.
Take my mistake as a reminder and use the weekend to recharge your batteries.
I realized that one mindset that gets me in trouble in academia is the "done is better than perfect" mindset.
This mindset is awesome if you want to get anything done in life.
But in academia, it is rather "Make your work perfect or reviewer 2 will destroy your paper"

"I’m going into my 2nd year of my PhD (studying in Canada) and my father just passed away in the US. I will need to travel home for the funeral, but will need to quarantine 14 days on both ends of the trip. Does anyone have any advice/experience?"
I think one of the hardest aspects of grad school is juggling multiple research projects at once and trying to get them all to the finish line of a publication 😳

"I’d like to know when other researchers felt confident enough to talk about their own research? I’m in year 2 of my PhD & it makes me panic when I think about ever having to talk in public about my research / publish"
I have a career question. Is there anyone who took a break after PhD (Let's say 6 month to 1 year) and not immediately rushed into post-doc/job? Does taking a break affect the post-doc opportunities?

Will you start the academic year working from home? I have here 👇🏼 some tips to stay focused and write a lot (or as much as possible 😆) #academicchatter#acwri#Phdchat
Lately, I feel out of focus. Whenever I am trying to do my work I do not feel any energy. The days pass by as I do not really progress. Sometimes I just sit there and think - then I feel bad for letting myself get distracted. Is this just me? @AcademicChatter@thoughtsofaphd
