I am right now working with extremely capable engineers on some advanced tech and we converse in Tamil because that is what they are most comfortable with. I am (very!) slowly learning Hindi so I can work with engineers in Hindi too. There is a lot of R&D talent in India if we get rid of the English barrier and the social stigma of not knowing English well.
As we achieve more, Indians some day will lose this idea that English is a mark of sophistication or achievement. It is a useful language to know but since 95% of Indians are not fluent in English, it cannot and should not be a barrier to advancing in India.
The Chinese are a major source of inspiration for me.
Absolutely.
Unnecessary recurring Meetings are one of the culprits for missed deadlines.
[specially, working meetings... 🤷, where no one actually committed or accountable...]
As affected employee always juggling between meetings to find times to catch up with actual work...
@khatedhapata@FrancescoD_Ales Well, having a feature set is different thing and dominating the note-taking area is different thing...
Performance is the Key here.
Past few years, it was declining badly...
However, new @evernote team shown some aggression in 2024 towards making it on top again... 👊
@FrancescoD_Ales As far as I know, this look is there since quite some times.
Yes, it's good tool, especially for desktop & detailed collective notes, definitely it's better.
Bt #GoogleKeep's simple yet powerful nature of taking quick offline notes can't be matched.
(mobile app is missing 🤷)
To earn true respect in the world, Indians have to develop deep capabilities in India. Achievements abroad won't do it.
I hope smart Indians keep this in mind.
Draggable paragraphs and sections are here!
Use an intuitive dragging action to quickly rearrange your content:
🎁 Drag to move a paragraph block within the note
🎁 Drag to reposition an entire collapsed section at one time
🎁 Drag and drop text directly into a collapsed section
This update is available on Desktop and Web in version 10.120.
Evernote Spaces are now available for individual users 🎉
For a long time, Spaces were a Teams-exclusive feature, but we figured everyone can benefit from another powerful organizational tool. 💪
With Spaces, you can group notes and notebooks on a per-topic or project basis, making it easy to stay organized for work, school, or life in general!
👉 Keep in mind, Spaces are currently in beta, meaning we’re still working on building the optimal experience. At the moment, it’s not possible to share or delete a Space, but this functionality is coming soon.
Try Spaces and let us know what you think. 💚
In 1974, Steve Jobs came to India in search for enlightenment.
7 months later, he returned with a philosophy that would later build Apple into a $1 trillion empire.
Here’s the philosophy: 🧵

@donckrr@fedesimio There are usecases for lock on notes. Check reply from @amSourabh in this thread
Plus, sometimes you need to provide your device to other for some references from your Evernote account and during that time, you do not want them see documents/info which are not meant for them.
