This week in the Toddler Room, children have been focusing their learning around the story 'Dear Zoo'. The children explored a tuff tray based on the story, they discussed the animals they could find, what they could feel, and the colours they could see on the boxes.

This week in Pre Nursery 2, we marked Remembrance Day with poppy biscuit baking, a treasure hunt, and a themed rice tray containing images of a staff member's family who served in the army. The children also observed two minutes of silence at 11amβa meaningful moment for all.
Children in Minimax made firework patterns using black card and different colours of chalk. They created patterns to resemble fireworks in the night sky.
For Bonfire night, the children in Pre 1 Nursery had a wonderful time building their own bonfire using sticks. Our staff showed them how to stack the sticks properly, and the children enthusiastically took turns adding their own pieces to the pile.
The children in Nursery Wrap created their own firework patterns in flour and glitter. They also continued to develop their number recognition skills by threading the corresponding amount of hoops on a rocket template. Very creative!

This week in Nursery Wrap, children have been developing their scissor control. They attempted to cut coloured cooked spaghetti.
The children practiced colour recognition, took turns to find an object and place on the correct coloured piece of card.
In Pre Nursery 2, children have been learning about Australia, Spain and Mexico.
Children made Australian Fairy bread, decorated Mexican flags and played a Spanish game called Jumping Beans.
The children in Baby Room have enjoyed going for a walk around the school grounds. They explored the flower boxes and picked some of the flowers off the field to look at them more closely.
The children in Nursery Wrap took part in a threading activity. They not only used their fine motor skills, they also counted the pasta shells. Well done children!
Children in Pre 1 Nursery have enjoyed their new topic, 'Let's Pretend'. They focused on exploring the jungle and jungle animals, this has included pretending to be jungle animals by making the different animal noises. Children also enjoyed making different animal crafts.
The children in Nursery Wrap have enjoyed the sunshine. They sang nursery rhymes while lifting the parachute up and down.
The topic this week was under the sea, the children developed their scissor control skills by rescuing the sea animals that were wrapped up in wool.
