When I was a member of the LDS Church the Christian gospel was often explained to me as:
“You just say you’re saved and then you can do whatever you want”
I see this same message repeated here on X and I want you to know this is NOT what the Bible teaches:)
Going to Temple Square this Friday for gospel related conversations:)
If any of you want to hang or talk there please let me know:)
Still working on a time, but Friday afternoonish…
We’ll have our I ❤️ LDS lanyards on:)
Pray for Jane.
She was bitten by an unidentified insect and her body had a strong, adverse reaction to it.
They’ve admitted her into the hospital and the IV antibiotics are barely touching it.
Pray her body responds to the treatment. Thank you. 🙏
The LDS creation conference was great!!!
It’s cool to see there is a large faction of scientific global flood believers who reject Darwinism in the LDS community:)
Really good conversations:)
When I find a link to the talks online I’ll post.
Here again is the website:

We have LDS missionaries from Samoa and the Philippines coming over for dinner tonight:)
My Filipino wife is making island food for them:)
Pretty excited:)
Asked my mom what LDS people least understand about Christians for something to talk about on X today; she said the Godhead/Trinity & grace:)
I told her we’ve discussed that a lot already:) funny
Why Christians don’t build temples
John 19:34…
The “blood” cleanses believers so that the “water” (Holy Spirit) could sanctify believers:)
God moves from temples of stone to temples of flesh…
God in believers:)
Is there a good place where you can talk to LDS people about religious things like we do on X…. but face to face and in the Salt Lake Valley?
I suppose Spaces is like that. Maybe I should do more.
I get tired of endless text loops that could be dealt with in person in seconds or minutes instead of hours and days.
Drove by Temple Square today:)
The construction stuff is getting less and less messy and more and more finished:)
I used to go down there a lot pre COVID and construction and had a ton of really good times talking with people:)
I really miss in person conversations:)
I want to do some public interviews and filming for X with LDS people because a lot of the dialogue on X gets hindered by the textual nature of things and me just making videos of my own thoughts from home would probably be boring to you guys I think:)
Do you guys have any thoughts or suggestions about where a good public spot would be to find and film friendly interviews with church members?
I’m fun and yes we could talk about differences but it would be similar I hope to how we’ve done things here with respectful and considerate dialogue and no sneak attacks or gotchas:)
Just thinking:)
Any ideas?
What does Article of Faith #8 really mean to LDS people?
Most LDS apologist’s don’t complain about translation much, they do attack the Bible and say a lot to discredit it as God’s word.
Again, not in translation as #8 allows, which is very true:)
Hey everyone:)
I just got some new recording gear and “learning” Logic Pro has been fun and like doing my taxes at times…
If any of you religious types want to spend an afternoon showing me how to use Logic Pro 12 better in exchange for my wife cooking you awesome Filipino food let me know:)
I’m in Sandy, Utah:) DM for contact:)
About BIBLICAL INERRANCY
Firstly… the LDS (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) and standard Christian view of God should be that he is error free and holy in his perfection.
GOD IS INERRANT:)
The main reason I believe the Bible to be his words and therefore INERRANT is because the message that all men are sinners, deserve punishment and cannot pay for their sins by doing good works, but must be forgiven is a message from above and can only be understood by those who have been born from there:)
All man made religious texts say if you do good things you get good things. Only God’s word says EVERYTHING that does not come from faith is sin and without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.
Works righteousness makes sense to the natural man not born from above.
Righteousness through faith makes no sense to the natural man.
Also…
God has given us his words and quoted them as his words and has personally claimed the scripture cannot be broken (Matt. 4:4, John 10:34-36).
A lot of this comes down to whether you believe God himself is inerrant and will preserve and protect his words for you to have. It comes down to if you trust that God is truly in control:)
Another thing is that inerrancy tends to refer to the original manuscripts or autographs.
However, again… you have to trust that copies are reliable because God is watching over them.
Even things like the perceived Goliath copyist error have led me to a deeper understanding of how faithful the scribes were:)
There are poor translations of words in certain spots that’s why I study Greek and Hebrew to make sure:)
Examples…
Hebel in Ecclesiastes is poorly translated as meaningless and vanity… it should be vapor or breath.
Prosopolempsia in Rom. 2:11 means face receiver or judging a book by its cover. The translation as partiality or favoritism is misleading.
I discovered these by reading and understanding the Bible as whole and knowing God would not call life “meaningless” and knowing that God has the right to be partial or favor anyone he wants but ABSOLUTELY does not make judgments from the outside. God knows the heart:)
That being said, the copies we have are not in error on these points just the translations…
I’ll post verses below that support inerrancy and here’s a link with reliable standard answers but everything I posted above is straight from me and what I personally believe:)

To members of the LDS church:)
Concerning the TRINITY….
If the Holy Spirit can dwell in millions of people doing a countless number of different things at the same time…
Why can’t 1 God, YHWH, be 3 persons doing different things at the same time?
Including communicating to each other as in the Son communicating to the Father in the Garden:)
Why is this so misunderstood?
If God is truly omnipresent/potent/scient
none of this should be difficult:)
