Not about eliminating the market—but healthcare needs a balance between government and community investment, regulation, and a diversity of owners and operators. Without that, the system becomes skewed toward easy, assembly-line procedures with high profit margins, while essential, complex care is neglected—leaving us with a system heavy on things like plastic surgery and lacking in necessary medical care, much like what we see now
No it means that sick people usually dont have time and energy to look prices up. They go they just need go go. There's two different types of healthcare need. One is elective where people have Leisure to price compare , but may not have the energy to "shop around" . The other is urgent and emergency cases, which doesn't lend itself to shopping around for best prices so you need regulators to set price limits so therefore xant be a true "free market"
The demise of medicine is a microcosm of what is happening in the US
I actually think it has everything to do with us being spineless. More and more people are employees, so everyone is more compliant and just lets bosses rule. Compliance is the main problem. We can protest in the streets, but if our economic lives are more subdued, it won’t matter. We are more compliant, and they will just keep doing what they are doing on a larger scale—these politicians and oligarchs. Most smart people are often the most compliant. Your workplace is a reflection of this. Your compliance with what has happened in medicine is a reflection of this. This is not a lack of intelligence or respect for intelligence problem; this is an everyday spine problem—a crisis of backbone in America. A crisis of sovereignty in America. A W-2, a wage-earner problem. An extinction of owners and private operators- the extinction of more sovereign peoples.
Both sides get important things wrong: Republicans often over-rely on “free market” solutions that don’t translate well to healthcare, while Democrats tend to lean heavily into virtue signaling and expansive spending, sometimes without clear limits or long-term sustainability. The answer is the AND.
I’m looking for attorneys or firms experienced in healthcare antitrust, physician rights, or hospital system overreach—particularly those willing to support independent/private practice physicians facing monopolistic or retaliatory behavior from large hospital systems. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Also the local hospitals actively killed independent practice by not allowing independent doc6order studies and biopsies for their pts. This is happening to me now . So manh delays for the independent physicians and now outright prohibition than the doctors they own or contract with in the only hospital on the island. Then they invite all the local attorneys to gift-giving events or be part of a group etc, so they can conflict them out of representing any of us.

A funny bit, but really good question/thought provoking:
We mad at Trump because he says the part that others lie about and now that we know, we are intimately party to the crimes? We mob wives?
