We only need to look at some of the best Asian airports (Changi, HKIA) for easykills - security check at each gate instead of one large security hall, automate check-in & immigration (atleast for citizens) and build capacity for the future, not for current traffic

@r0h1n Yup, pretty much. Also, with a 3.5% (+18% GST on this) fee, it’s sometimes more cost effective to take the retailer’s exchange rate than rely on your bank

@r0h1n They already charge a 2% - 3.5% forex fee for transactions in FCY. This is basically HDFC protecting this business, since a lot of large overseas retailers (like Amazon) allow you to transact in the currency of your card, taking away this “forex fee” that HDFC would charge
