This is Phumlani Ndwandwe, and he is angry about something.

First, Phumlani asks why he should have a problem with Afriforum building an Afrikaans-only university, because “we”, (which I presume is him and his mate “Eddie”) have many Black millionaires and billionaires.

Phumlani’s reasoning is that it’s acceptable for Afriforum to practice segregation because his imaginary Black billionaires are wearing expensive clothes and getting girls in the township (which, judging by the tone of his voice, he seems to deeply resent).

He says “we have Black millionaires and Black billionaires who could have done that sh*t”.

Now, what sh*t is Phumlani talking about exactly? Building a racially segregated university when the Constitution is a clear that “The Republic of South Africa is one, sovereign, democratic state founded on the following values: ... (b) Non-racialism...”?

Because the thing is that building a “Zulu-only” university, for instance, or anything of that sort in SA, is not something any billionaire with a functioning brain would entertain as it would be a sign of blatant rank hypocrisy after benefitting from the “Rainbow Nation”. Unless you’re Phumlani Ndwandwe.

Still, Phumlani tries to hide his resentment of “billionaires” repeatedly bonking girls by saying they could have been preserving “our culture” instead.

He is so passionate abouth this topic that it’s almost as if he doesn’t care about this culture stuff, he just doesn’t like how he has had to guard the gate while the “billionaires” pull all the girls at the University of Pretoria. He intimates as much.

Phumlani continues to say Afriforum has the right to build a segregated institution if they want to preserve their culture.
This is like saying the NP had a right to enact Apartheid if they wanted to preserve their culture, which is what they actually said, by the way. I suspect Phumlani doesn’t know *why* the Boers created an Apartheid state.

Then, just as I thought he’s done venting, Phumlani unleashes his pièce de résistance: “There are more Black millionaires and billionaires than [those who are Boers]; there’s only few like at Stellenbosch”. This is not even worth addressing. Even Afriforum would cringe😬 listening to this.

Next up, Phumlani let’s us in into how his “ancestor” fought alongside Boers to “remove” the British and that “amaBhunu fought among amaZulu to remove amaBritish”.
Even “Eddie” hesitates a little as if he’s not sure where this is going— and he never finds out, because Phumlani, it appears, was just saying that for no reason at all.

Instead of expanding on why exactly Boers and were fighting alongside amaZulu and how that worked out after the fighting stopped, Phumlani casually skips ahead to 1994.

(After the fighting between the Boers and the British ended, they hugged it out and formed the Union of South Africa, which explicitly excluded and dispossessed virtually all the land from the very Black people who had fought in the war. This is likely why Phumlani fast-forwards his diatribe from 1901 to 1994)

Channelling his inner chakra-hun, Phumlani argues that 1994 has proven how Black people are “villains” because the people building the Afrikaans-only university “have the same energy” as his (and Eddie’s) billionaires but they are “channelling it in a different way”.

At this point, Phumlani goes back into how much he dislikes how Black billionaires are raiding universities and getting the girlies. He really hates this, and somehow I just know the first thing Phumlani will do when he becomes a millionaire🏃🏽‍♀️🍆🏃🏾‍♂️

Anyway, at the end of the video it is revealed that Phumlani is drinking Castle Lager, because of course he is.

While the ANC, DA and EFF play political games, ordinary Tshwane residents are asking a simple question: why does the political and media spotlight remain relentlessly fixed on the only Mayor who has not spent her tenure making excuses, but has actually delivered for all, while the serious questions surrounding the parties attacking her are conveniently pushed into the shadows?
