Last Sunday was the Lunar New Year, and it is the Year of the Rabbit! Traditionally, this means calm and contemplation, and perhaps even making more money! We wish all who observe the lunar year a Happy Year of the Rabbit. #phftucson#philately#LunarNewYear#LunarNewYearRabbit
Happy Birthday to folk and blues musician Lead Belly, born #OnThisDay in 1888. Though he was known for the guitar, Lead Belly played at least 6 instruments! #philately#phftucson
Bonus content: Yesterday we were closed in observance of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. This stamp is from the Celebrate the Century series. #philately#phftucson
Happy Birthday to Benjamin Franklin, born #OnThisDay in 1706. The first ever U.S. postage stamp depicted our first ever postmaster, Benjamin Franklin. It was issued in 1847. The other stamp is part of a set of 4, issued in 2006. #philately#phftucson
The iPhone was introduced #OnThisDay in 2007. This brick with a telescopic antennae was an amazing piece of technology in its day, but it's no iPhone! #philately#phftucson
Happy New year! The USPS is starting 2023 with these two stamps, issued Thursday the 5th. The fox is 40c and is used for bulk mailers, or for fun! The school bus is used when you need to pay for an additional ounce. We anticipate the kids will love these! #philately#phftucson
