@footfaulttennis 20 years ago when it was cash payments only arriving before 7am meant a decent chance of getting a CC or C1 ticket. It’s all about posting on social media these days, tennis is irrelevant
@GillianBel96553@EalaNation The Monday queue started forming early Saturday (even a few on Friday) it was already over 2500 at 6pm last night , many of those just opt to skip to the Tuesday queue to be certain of a show court, it gets madder every year
@Hjk0000t@ChrisBrownSport@ViewFromTheQ I’ve found the same, 0730 is feasibly the earliest I can arrive at queue taking the first train from my town. That no longer gets you a grounds pass and in grounds before 11 (20 years ago when ticket sales were cash only arriving at 6 gave you a decent chance of a showcourt )
@ChrisBrownSport@LSALad@ViewFromTheQ No guarantee of that these days though, to get a grounds pass now means arriving before 6am (not possible by public transport from my town) and the late afternoon walk ins are long gone too
@paul_7285@ViewFromTheQ@jkrenis@K_Thorp Honestly you’ll want to get there now, many of those with cards over 2000 for Monday will likely already be deferring to a Tuesday showcourt instead. This gets more ridiculous every year
@Peter283720@ViewFromTheQ Probably about now, when it goes over 1000 many just chose to skip straight to next day instead. (currently at 11pm it’s already 3000 in line for Monday which is madness
@activityjungle@ViewFromTheQ There’s still matches on all of the outside courts, just not the singles. Entry via resale is Unlikely before 5pm, most will stay for 2 matches .
