In the 1930s, quite a lot of privileged Brits sided with the Nazis. A similar thing is happening today, Patel, Truss, Farage, Fox, all sucking at the teets of a criminal authoritarian. These are dark & dangerous times, they've clearly learned nothing from history.

Further escalation in the Middle East must be avoided at all costs. In my call with Israeli Minister @AmbDermer I reiterated the UK’s support for Israel’s security, the importance of restraint, the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages.
