TXANS Update—Jan. 14, 2024: ERCOT has issued a Conservation Appeal for Monday, Jan. 15, from 6 – 10 a.m. CT. Operating reserves are expected to be low tomorrow morning due to continued freezing temperatures, record-breaking demand, and unseasonably low wind. We request Texas businesses and residents conserve electricity use, if safe to do so. At this time, if you are experiencing an outage, it is local in nature and not related to grid reliability. I attended an event hosted by @livegy_stayingalive in the Historic West End District last night night. Livegy is spreading education and awareness surrounding the dangers of fentanyl and its horrific impact on our greater Dallas community.
@dallasfirerescue attended with other vendors. Family members of victims shared their stories and experiences of losing love ones and the work they are doing collectively to save others.
I greeted the attendees and thanked them for the hard work they do to save lives.

Let us never forget those brave civilians who sacrificed their lives so that there would be no additional victims on the ground. 😥 #flight93

Unity, respect, empathy and understanding. No matter our past, our strength IS the melting pot not the dumpster in the backyard. The the meal we make together with our entire family, all the dishes all the recipes. If we say it and don’t mean in with our actions, then, well, we aren’t very “United” are we. Be safe, enjoy and remember all of the sacrifices and struggles that got us here from 1619-2023.
