Learning one of the most important ML and data science concepts, Bayes Theorem in the context of chilling with your BAE ๐
Probability of chilling given Netflix = (Probability of Netflixing given chilling x Probability of chilling) / Probability of Netflixing
We are already far more dependent on AI than we realize...
Without machine learning
- Google search will return useless spammy results
- FB and TikTok wouldn't even exist
- Amazon would take months to deliver products
- Teens would text 2x less without auto-complete
The real danger with AI is that it is canceling our individualism.
AI newsfeeds constantly feed us what 'other people like' making us more & more like 'other people'
Rapidly reducing humans to a binary class.
We are either
- woke and love UBI OR
- racist and hate masks
Good data science teams are really great detectives
First, you find clues to the hidden patterns in your pile of data
Then you train algorithms with the clues, to mathematically represent the patterns as a machine learning model
Today programmers tell the computers what to do, by meticulously specifying an instruction set in the form of "code"
Tomorrow, AI models will tell the computers what to do and we, humans, simply get to give these models goals and objectives to hit and maintain
State of the art AI techniques published in research papers is years ahead of AI in the real-world
There is a huge chasm between theory and production.
It's not enough to publish a paper inventing a new technique, you need to program it into a useful product.
A new free-thinking class, distinct from the binary left or the right, is slowing emerging
We understand how social media AI can manipulate and influence us, don't subscribe to elite groupthink, and aren't outrage addicts
We hear diverse opinions and make up our own minds
There are 3 kinds of machine learning types
- those who put models in production
- those who live in notebooks and are in prototyping mode forever &
- those who love to talk about it
@TeslaAIBot Do you know how to post media such as (photos, videos) on this platform? Text is not the only communication means that we use here on Twitter. Do you know that?
