I'm almost finished interviewing participants for my medical #crowdfunding study but I have a few spots left! Know anyone who has created a crowdfunding campaign for medical expenses in Canada for themselves or someone else? Interviews are confidential.

Me to my supervisor: "I'll have a chapter to you next week!"
Writing gods: "Allow us to sprinkle some communicable diseases at your child's daycare." @Momademia ✋🏼🦶🏽👄
I haven't read either of the books involved, but I know that if we want academia to change, we need to:
✅ READ Black women
✅ CITE Black women
Check out @citeblackwomen and @carolinehossein for more.
A very polite and very reasonable request. I hope @BernardsNick is willing to engage with you and explain equally politely why he chose to ignore what has been a groundbreaking contribution in your shared field.
My mind is frazzled enough that I threw my keys into the compost bin unknowingly, but not so frazzled that I didn't think to go back and check there. 🤔
I was the person who highlighted too many sentences in my undergraduate readings, and now I'm the person who codes too many sentences in Nvivo.

Got to watch a special screening of @courtneyszto and Jon Chiang's short documentary on waste in the bike industry. Felt like this was an appropriate outfit. 🚲 👗
Similarly, Dr. @courtneyszto has just released a short documentary on the waste produced by the cycling industry, raising questions about biking and sustainability: https://t.co/gJQ0cwnNzc
Can bicycles save the world? An excellent question to ask on #WorldBicycleDay2022. Cycling enthusiasts I've met seem to think #bikingislife (my partner included), but this team of researchers calls for cautious optimism.
@PhDVoice@PostdocVoice Responsiveness. My supervisor has unheard-of response times, and I know she is busy with her own work and care responsibilities. I've never had to follow up to get something signed or reviewed and it really eases my stress.
Just received confirmation that beginning Fall 2024 @sfuCMNS will offer a new 4-semester, cohort-based MA degree option focused on Communication Research for Social Change. Applications will be due in early 2024. Please share this news & hit me up/watch this space for more info.
@DrTobiasJung Could definitely be a slippery slope to colonial, racist, practices (a la Carnegie) and upholds philanthro-capitalistic values.
I've worked on the charity side, trying to provide "evidence" to grantors when our work just wasn't easily quantifiable. It never made sense.
