The is a big disconnect between ED treatment's body acceptance focus and gender-affirming practice. Encouraging a trans person to 'accept' body parts they are dysphoric about is actively harmful and not conducive to recovery.
@SMHR#smhr2023 has been great! @KaiSchweizer presented our IncludED Study data showing 75% of LGBTQI+ respondents to this global survey who had eating disorder diagnosis hadn’t had any treatment. @MiskovicJane@PhilAouad

(2/3) I'm thrilled that my research begins to establish prevalence and impacts in community settings. But it also sadly highlights that CHSP is something that many struggle with, and that our research and knowledge is still very limited.
