@kildaregaa365 There are many reasons. Cricket relies on the slight nuance given to the ball by the bowler as it leaves his/her hand. A wet ball is hard to grip so impossible to deliver that nuance, plus the ground would be slippery causing the bowler to slip, badly scuffing the pitch
