United are doing it again. We are in Heathrow as Platinum Travellers and after the multiple screw ups outbound at Newark they have now cancelled 1 of 5 reservation! Seems when they were changing our outbound for the 5th time they changed Marissa to one way! Crazy. #unitedAIRLINES
EWR Terminal 3….
Phone wait-time for United Platinum customer service was 90 minutes. Then we were told (without a hint of irony) to see an agent at EWR.
But now the queue for customer service located at gate 91 now starts at gate 71. And it’s not moving!
Awful.
#unitedAIRLINES ??? We’re trapped in EWR check-in - with agent unable to issue boarding passes for a flight being held for us. Gate crew are looking for us - but the check-in and gate can’t talk to each other. & can’t be rebooked as system has us in the plane we can’t access. BS
Getting worse. Been split up and only 4 of 5 have a seat.
Me + 1 son are on 5th option.
BUT still haven’t found a seat for my wife - so 2 boys are now on option (#6) as unaccompanied minors flying internationally. And wife is told Tuesday earliest. Woeful #unitedAIRLINES

And it makes my point about lack of ‘End to end’ process and thinking. Not good United!

You’d think so!!!! Terrible customer experience due to illogical processes + dysfunctionality between different United teams. You’d think an airline should actually be able to follow ‘end to end systems thinking’ but evidently not! And we trust them at 35,000 feet. Yeah right!
1st flight cancelled. 2nd flight was ready for us at gate but couldn’t get a boarding pass. 3rd flight missed by not released from 2nd. 4th flight now booked then blocked. Now working on 5th flight for me + child. Wife and 2 kids still not rebooked. Going to dads funeral!!!
We are being patient. And Andy Morris at the gate is trying hard to resolve the problems. But it’s highlighted some process issues that need systemic review. Very frustrating for all concerned.
