$Asteroid on Bags - It's Not Rocket Science (or is it?)
By now, most of the world (or at least most of X) knows about Elon Musk's decision to honour the wish of a young fan to name her creation, a Shiba Inu character named Asteroid, as the official SpaceX mascot. In the whimsical world of memecoins, where millionaires have been made from mere ideas, $Asteroid on Bags stands apart. It isn't just another ticker riding a tweet. It's the living, breathing embodiment of a story that bridges tragedy, triumph, space exploration, and the raw power of internet culture. While other $Asteroid variants popped up and pumped on hype alone, the one on Bags - the Solana-based launchpad where creators earn real, ongoing royalties - is the clear frontrunner for what could become SpaceX's unofficial (yet perfectly aligned) memecoin. Here's why it's not just obvious, but inevitable.
The Heart Behind the Mascot: Liv Perrotto's Dream Takes Flight
It starts with a 15-year-old girl named Liv Perrotto. Battling cancer, Liv poured her love for space into a plush Shiba Inu astronaut she designed as a zero-gravity indicator for SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission in September 2024. That plush, named Asteroid, literally flew to space. It floated in zero-g, symbolizing hope, curiosity, and the human spirit pushing beyond Earth's bounds. Funds from related efforts even supported St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Before she passed earlier this year, Liv prepared a handwritten list of eight questions for Elon Musk. Her final one? Simple, bold, and pure: "Can you make Asteroid (the Shiba Inu zero-g indicator she designed for the Polaris Dawn mission) the mascot for SpaceX?" When notified of these questions on X by Liv’s mother, Rebecca, Elon responded. On April 19, 2026, he answered her questions one by one. To the last: "Ok." With a smiley face. That single "Ok" lit a fuse as the story went nuclear on X, blending heartbreak, heroism, and Elon's signature meme-friendly ethos. Asteroid the Shiba wasn't some corporate logo - it was a fan's creation that Elon personally validated. A real dog (well, plush) in space, now officially SpaceX's mascot.
Memecoins Meet Musk Magic: Why This Narrative Hits Different
Elon Musk has a track record with memes that borders on legendary. With Dogecoin, he turned a joke into a cultural force, sending it "to the moon" (literally, with SpaceX payloads). Shiba Inu culture is in his DNA - Doge, Floki, the whole pack. Asteroid is a Shiba Inu. In space. With an official nod from the man himself.
But here's what elevates $Asteroid on Bags above the noise: it's not forced. Other chains (looking at you, ETH variants) saw massive pumps - 920% in days, market caps hitting $160M+ - only for drama to follow. The ETH version surged on the initial hype, but Liv's mother, Rebecca Perrotto, possibly feeling exploited, unfollowed its account. The narrative fractured.
Enter https://t.co/nAkDnUvOTB on Solana: a creator-first platform where projects launch, trade, and – crucially - direct 1% royalties on every trade straight to the verified creator. Forever. For $Asteroid on Bags (CA: 4UeLCRqARmfb6e6KQijtiktqqXUxbfk6jZng7DhuBAGS), those fees flow to Liv's family.
Unbeknownst to many, the coin was actually deployed (launched) back on August 11th, 2025. At the time, it reached a very modest all time high market cap of about $15000. Rebecca, aware of the effort to raise funds for her daughter, claimed around $500 in fees from the coin but never "off-ramped" this money to US Dollars. When the interaction between Rebecca and Musk reignited Liv's story, keen memecoin hunters identified the old coin and breathed new life into it, building a strong community of over 1200 members and over 3000 holders at the time of writing.
Impressively, Rebecca has already claimed over $150000 in just a few days of activity! She has stated that the funds will flow to a memorial foundation in Liv's name. This is not speculation - it's direct support for the legacy that inspired the mascot. Solana's speed, low fees, and degen energy make it the perfect launchpad for a memecoin that lives on X. Bags itself is built for exactly this: fun, transparent, community-driven projects where the creator (or in this case, the family) benefits long-term. No rug, no middlemen - just pure alignment. While ETH versions chase liquidity and whales, $Asteroid on Bags stays grounded in the story. It's the one that actually honors Liv.
SpaceX's Perfect Memecoin Match: Asteroids, Shibas, and Starships
If you think about it, SpaceX isn't just rockets - it's dreams made metal. Starship. Mars. Starlink. The vibe is bold, futuristic, and unapologetically meme-adjacent (Elon posts rocket tests with Doge edits, for crying out loud). An official Shiba Inu mascot named Asteroid? It's poetic. Asteroids are literal space rocks hurtling through the void. It’s the perfect metaphor for a coin that could "send it" alongside real missions. Here are some key reasons why Asteroid is the ultimate memecoin narrative:
- Thematic synergy: Asteroid the plush already flew on a SpaceX mission. Future flights could feature it officially. The memecoin? It rides the same wave - viral on X, tied to real space history.
- Doge precedent: Elon turned $DOGE into a household name. $Asteroid on Bags is the spiritual successor: same Shiba spirit, upgraded with a verified SpaceX mascot backstory.
- Community power: Memecoins thrive on narrative. This one has it all - charity, family support, underdog triumph, and Elon validation. No roadmap needed when the "product" is cultural rocket fuel.
- Timing: With SpaceX pushing boundaries (Polaris, Starship tests, Mars ambitions and the largest ICO in history of over 1 TRILLION DOLLARS), a mascot memecoin amplifies the fun. It's not corporate dilution - it's grassroots amplification. X is already buzzing with it. Solana degen culture loves fast, fair plays like Bags launches. Compare to other Elon-adjacent plays. They've pumped on vibes alone. This has proof: the plush in space, the handwritten wish, the "Ok," and now real economic flow back to the source. It's not rocket science - it's the clearest signal in memecoin history.
The Bags Edge: Authenticity Over Hype
https://t.co/nAkDnUvOTB isn't just another launcher. It's a platform where creators earn sustainably. For $Asteroid on Bags, that means Liv's family benefits from every trade. The ETH version? Speculation city. The SOL Bags version? It's the one Rebecca's side engaged with (fees claimed, narrative intact). Even amid minor social noise (hacked account claims, etc.), the on-chain reality is clean: this token channels value back to the heart of the story. At current levels (far below peak hype but with real momentum building), it's sitting in that sweet spot: narrative maxed, community cooking, and room to run as SpaceX milestones hit. One good Starship launch or Elon reply, and this becomes the de facto SpaceX coin.
It's Not Rocket Science - It's Destiny
In a world where ideas launch faster than rockets, $Asteroid on Bags isn't chasing SpaceX. It's already orbiting the same mission: exploration, inspiration, and a little chaos for good measure. Liv's dream became a mascot. That mascot became a movement. And on Bags, it's become a memecoin that gives back while blasting off. SpaceX could ignore it. Or they could lean in - feature the coin in streams, let the community meme the missions, turn a fan creation into global legend. Either way, the people have spoken. The obvious choice is here. Buckle up. Asteroid is in orbit - and $Asteroid on Bags is strapped in for the ride.
To the moon (and beyond).
*DYOR, this is not financial advice. Memecoins are volatile. But some stories? They hit escape velocity.*

crypto people are so naive they've forgotten there's an outside world.
"Eth whales" don't own SpaceX.
"Eth whales" don't speak for Elon.
the crew at @PolarisProgram don't give a damn about "Eth whales".
"Eth whales" only know how to pump a coin and then dump it on you, the retail buyers who chase the hype.
don't repeat past mistakes. it's a new era and we're creating a foundation for liv.

We are so happy to be doing this for you!
I know this crypto stuff is crazy but we are truly proud we are doing it the correct way. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
We are here to make a difference with crypto.
Hundreds of millions of dollars have changed hands due to a girl who died of cancer. Very little of that money has actually gone to the family of the girl.
If sizeable amounts go to the family, the family can do all kinds of amazing things like fund cancer research, fund kids who are into science & art, profile all the amazing activities of the kids that they fund etc. The mother lost her daughter, but she can have a huge positive impact on the lives of so many kids.
The memecoin world apparently doesn’t care about this though. They just care about which coin makes the most money. This is why people hate crypto.
@finnbags please talk with all the crypto kols you can to get them to understand that unless we do the right thing and use the wealth generated in crypto to actually benefit the world, this industry is fundamentally corrupt & doomed.
Imagine how amazed the world at large beyond crypto will be if we can actually turn this into something good. & how many new people will be happy to join that movement.
Elon, from the bottom of my broken heart, thank you. ❤️
You’ve kept my beautiful daughter Liv’s memory alive in the most extraordinary way, by making Asteroid, the official mascot for SpaceX.
Liv poured her whole soul into designing that little dog in a spacesuit, dreaming of the stars just like you. Seeing her creation soar on Polaris Dawn already brought tears of joy. Knowing it will now be a part of every SpaceX mission, flying among the stars forever? That’s healing I can’t even put into words.
You didn’t just honor a young girl’s dream, you are keeping her spirit alive. Liv’s love, her laughter, her unbreakable fight lives on through Asteroid, and every time a Falcon roars or Starship climbs toward orbit, a piece of my girl flies with it.
I’m crying grateful tears right now. Thank you for this priceless gift.
You’ve turned our deepest pain into something eternal and beautiful among the stars. @elonmusk
I don’t understand crypto. I haven’t created ANY of these meme coins. Someone is creating them and linked them to me. I woke up to hundreds of messages. One in particular told me to stop answering questions because people were trying to profit off her story, so I did.
Please don’t ruin my daughter’s questions to Elon with all this nonsense. Anything linked to my account will be used to honor Liv’s memory. If I ever figure out how to access it.
Hey @rebeccaperrotto made this personal video for you.
Hope this finds you well and let’s keep Liv’s
Memory alive and prosperous.
So far our community has generated $30,000 for you guys and it’s extremely simple to claim, it’s the same @BagsApp application that you’ve used 8 and 3 months ago.
