@fredahshi sorry about that. I recommend to only put people with at least a PhD on a workshop committee. Also try to add people from different continents (asia, america, europe) and some high level professors. Thats from my experience organizing many workshops at KDD, ICDM, and many others.
A GREAT book was written by my colleague Prof. Chan about Mastering The Academic Mindset for writing computer science research papers. The book is open-access. I highly recommend that all graduate students read it!

Today, I received reviews for one my research paper, where one reviewer suggested to cite 6 unrelated cryptography papers by a guy named Mehran Mozaffari Kermani (from USA). ... Suspicious!

In 2023, Overleaf reduced compile time for free users from 1 min. to 20 s. Now in 2025, they are reducing to 10 s. There is clearly a trend there. Any good alternatives to #overleaf ? It might be time to change.
1/3 Today, an anecdote shared by an invited speaker at #NeurIPS2024 left many Chinese scholars, myself included, feeling uncomfortable. As a community, I believe we should take a moment to reflect on why such remarks in public discourse can be offensive and harmful.
@minchoi Also several glitches in the hands and people that seems to look in the wrong directions... and blowing besides the cake? ๐ But still very impressive what is achieved.
@minchoi This one has also several defects like the guy at the bottom carrying a metal box without touching it, that drop and disappear and suddenly he flips backward, before a vehicle pass through his arm.
@minchoi Quite impressive. But still some issues are visible like the birds that disappear after they pass the selfie stick, the selfie stick that dont follow the neck when it moves, and the incorrect shadow.
@Amine59110574@sciencepp Hello,
The MLDM conference which was also supposed to take place in July 2023 in Newark never happened. If you were scammed too, please contact me by direct message.
A 14-line Python script using gzip outperforming a 345m parameter transformer model is probably the most hilarious result I've seen all year.
