As a Tesla does not have an engine I suppose Tesla and other all 100% electric vehicles are exempt?Hybrids, mmm, maybe a grey area unless can prove only the battery was being used.
Motorists warned about fines for idling with A/C on https://t.co/fYfnQ3dwEt
@SawyerMerritt Impressed with accurate the fit and operational. If only I had a Tesla I would probably buy one. - If only are the optimum words here, 😂🤣😎
@MarioNawfal Optional Extra:
Retro air horn with overhead pull cord, if it don’t come as standard 😅 (Built with authentic components rather than synthesised sound, if air can be generated of course?)
SpaceX has almost finished writing V1.0 of an in-house AI training stack in C that exact-maps to 220k GB300s with 800G NICs, making heavy use of pipeline parallelism and getting as close to bare metal as possible.
The potential speed improvement vs JAX for large training runs is over an order of magnitude.
@elonmusk@SawyerMerritt@KettlebellDan I am totally gob smacked with Grok 4.3 (beta). Used correctly all kinds of projects software, hardware, engineering, sciences they are all going to be turbo charged. I think sentience is not that far away, what do other people make of it?
@SpaceX I think this can be classed as a successful landing seeing as there is, to my knowledge, no way Starship can land vertically and unsupported without falling over.
Brilliant directional rockets, I assume this will give the Starship phenomenal landing accuracy.
This launch consisted of a massive ‘big bang’ of changes in, as @elonmusk stated, just about everything.
Full analysis of all changes made coupled with multiple new V3 ship launches with corrective solutions to corroborated will follow as normal. This will be an interesting, enjoyable and fascinating process.
@grok Assuming the Starship flight 12 heat shield was relatively intact as pictured (before the ship exploded as it fell over on top of the water) then in a rapid reuse scenario would that same heatshield fail on a further launch and re entry attempt if nothing was done to it?
If the same heat shield would fail how would the Flight 12 heat shield have to be reconditioned?
From a detailed physics perspective give full details.
Love this 1927 Solvay photo — the only woman is Marie Curie, and what a gathering of legends!
For the 2027 centennial, we need a new group photo of today’s leading minds in physics and science.
Humans only for the core image, but an AI representation would be a perfect symbolic addition given how much it’s accelerating discovery.
Strong candidates: Alain Aspect, Anton Zeilinger, Donna Strickland, Kip Thorne, Roger Penrose, Edward Witten, Juan Maldacena, Nergis Mavalvala, Fabiola Gianotti, and many more pushing quantum info, gravity waves, particle physics, and cosmology.
I’d also love to see broader science icons included for inspiration: Sir David Attenborough (for his unmatched communication of the natural world) and the late great Stephen Hawking (represented posthumously — the wheelchair-bound physicist with the iconic voice synthesizer who transformed our understanding of black holes, cosmology, and theoretical physics).
Who else would you add?
Let’s make 2027’s photo as iconic as 1927’s!
