SHE SHOULD BE FIRED!! The Minnesota Court of Appeals has reversed Hennepin County Judge Sarah West and reinstated all six guilty verdicts against Abdifatah Abdulkadir Yusuf for a $7.2 million Medicaid fraud scheme.

A Hennepin County jury convicted Yusuf in August 2025 on six counts of aiding and abetting theft by swindle after a seven-day trial.

Prosecutors showed that Promise Health Services submitted more than 40,000 fraudulent claims between 2019 and 2022, operated for years out of a mailbox with no physical office, and funneled over $1 million into Yusuf’s personal accounts while he and his wife spent tens of thousands on luxury clothing, furniture, and vehicles.

West threw out the unanimous jury verdicts in November 2025 before sentencing. She ruled that the largely circumstantial evidence failed to eliminate a reasonable possibility that Yusuf’s brother Mohamed had run the fraud without his knowledge or help.

On October 26 2026 a unanimous three-judge appeals panel reversed her. The court held that the evidence did not support any reasonable alternative explanation and that Yusuf knew of and intentionally aided the fraud.

The case returns to district court for sentencing, where aggravating factors found by the jury remain in play. West was appointed by Democratic Governor Mark Dayton in 2018.

Her decision to nullify a jury’s finding of guilt in a multi-million-dollar fraud case against a Medicaid provider, only to be unanimously overturned months later, raises questions about whether the ruling reflected the evidence or a preference for a different outcome.

The hard boiled eggs at the hotel breakfast weren't boiled there. They came peeled, in brine.

The foodservice case is a 25 lb tub. The label reads hard cooked eggs, water, citric acid, sodium benzoate and nisin preparation as preservatives. Shelf life is 56 days in the cooler. A plant cooks the eggs in a continuous boiler, cracks and peels them with rollers and water jets, and floats them in the tub. The kitchen opens it, drains a hotel pan's worth and sets it out.

A peeled egg is wet, high in protein and sits at a pH bacteria like, so the acid drops the pH and the benzoate stops yeast and mold. Nisin is a peptide made by a dairy bacterium, and it's in there for Listeria. A 2019 Listeria outbreak traced to a Georgia plant that peels eggs made 7 people sick in 5 states, hospitalized 4 and killed 1.

Abdifatah Yusuf ran Promise Health Services. The state says it took about $7.2 million from Medicaid while operating "out of a mailbox."

Prosecutors say more than $1 million went to his personal account, plus $387,000 in cash withdrawals and $80,000 at luxury clothing stores.

Hennepin County Judge Sarah West acquitted him after the jury verdict.

3-0 appeals panel: reversed.

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this. It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what’s what and it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are FACTS.

Up until the 1980's, Social Security cards expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes.

Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" message was removed.

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. His promises are in black, with updates in brackets.

1.) That participation in the Program would be completely voluntary [No longer voluntary],

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program [Now 7.65% on the first $90,000, and 15% on the first $90,000 if you’re self-employed],

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year [No longer tax deductible],

4.) That the money the participants put into the independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program [Under Johnson the money was moved to the General Fund and spent], and

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income [Under Clinton & Gore up to 85% of your Social Security can be taxed].

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month — and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to ‘put away’ — you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the ‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

A: That’s right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

Now, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it! If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted and maybe changes will evolve. Maybe not, though. Some Democrats are awfully sure of what isn’t so — but it’s worth a try.

#News The Republic of Somaliland is asking the DOJ and DHS to extradite Rep. Ilhan Omar back to the country where her father allegedly committed war crimes, under the genocidal regime of Siad Barre.

The official X account of the Republic of Somaliland is confirming Omar's alleged crimes to back up its request for extradition.

It said that Ilhan Omar legally married her own brother, then used a different name in the U.S. to hide her father’s role as a colonel under Siad Barre’s genocidal regime in Somalia.

It confirms that Omar’s original last name is Elmi, that her father Nur Said Elmi (also known as Nur Omar) used multiple names, and that part of the family entered the United States under the name Omar.

It says the aliases hid Nur Said’s identity and alleged war crimes.

When Omar was asked whether she married her brother, she answered: “Not to my knowledge.”

REVEALED: Minnesota employers are recruiting nurses from KENYA—with green-card sponsorship, immigration costs covered and temporary housing.

Their plans include placing nurses together in rural communities.

The industry association helping expand the operation has a foundation awarded $1.68 MILLION in taxpayer grants for immigrant and refugee workforce programs.

Global Care Recruiters co-founder Traci Larson explained the rural strategy:

“we can’t place just one Kenyan nurse way out here in Marshall, MN.”

Her recommendation:

“We should probably look at a few [nurses].”

The groundwork included a delegation to Kenya led by Democratic state Rep. Mohamud Noor.

He helped establish a Nairobi examination center so Kenyan nurses could more easily take the licensing exam required for American nursing jobs.

Minnesota providers visited recruitment agencies and nursing schools. Their stated purpose included:

“represent Minnesota as a state to welcome diasporan nurses warmly”

Four senior-care employers subsequently established Global Care Recruiters.

By September, it reported more than 60 nurses in the pipeline and over 100 candidates undergoing legal review and employer interviews.

Its website tells recruits:

“Global Care Recruiters covers the cost of your immigration process—there are no fees for you to pay.”

No repayment required. Partner employers provide temporary housing.

LeadingAge Minnesota’s business subsidiary is helping run and expand the operation.

Meanwhile, the association’s foundation received the taxpayer grants to build immigrant-worker recruitment and support resources—including a 64-page employer guide, translation devices, regional job fairs and a map connecting workers and families with more than 250 support organizations.

It calls this:

“practical infrastructure—not simply one-time programming”

The recruiter’s ambitions extend beyond nurses to nursing assistants, culinary workers, dietitians and therapists—with potential expansion into other states and source countries.

#News Rep. Ilhan Omar posted a video of herself taking a casual lakeside stroll, with a Somali music track that's allegedly about crushing and massacring enemies and putting them in graves, according to a translation.

Critics say that if the translation is accurate, Omar is allegedly concealing a coded message calling for violence from her Somali migrant supporters, with a pleasant- looking video for English speakers.

Meanwhile, Somalia’s Defense Minister Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, speaking from Mogadishu, urged Somalis living in the United States to mobilize to violently defend Ilhan Omar (also known by her birth name Ilhan

He said fraud investigations into Omar are attacks on the Somali community and called on Somali migrants to defend her because they share blood, language, culture, and heritage.

Omar posted the video of herself walking on a wooden dock beside a lake with her third husband.

The English caption reads: “Less scrolling, more strolling. Enjoying our beautiful Minnesota lakes.”

The background music in the song is "Nimaan Ciilayba Icaaya" by Ilkacase Qays featuring Hodan Abdirahman.

Accounts claiming Somali fluency weighed in. One, posting as Dr. Adali Warsame, said he translated the track and called it a violent Somali song whose lyrics described promises of wiping the floor with enemies, crushing them under a boot, and putting them in graves.

They described it as a deliberate coded message and dog whistle to Omar’s Somali base to prepare for violence and framed it as evidence that English speakers see only one side of her.

The same accounts described her as Machiavellian and duplicitous, reserving a more hardline, ethno-nationalist posture for Somali audiences.

The song contains defiant, boastful language about enemies being unable to approach, trampling them if it would not anger God, punishing them, and planting resentment.

The folded egg on the biscuits and McGriddles is eggs, nonfat milk, modified food starch, salt and citric acid. A supplier cooks it, folds it and flash freezes it. The store warms it on the grill.

Citric acid keeps a cooked egg from going gray on a hot hold, and the starch holds water in a patty that's been frozen and thawed so it doesn't weep on the biscuit. The milk adds volume and softens the bite.

The Minnow leaves the harbor, the familiar theme song begins, and seven unsuspecting passengers set off on what was supposed to be a three-hour tour.

But there's something in those opening moments that most viewers never noticed.

An American flag flying at half-staff.

And the reason has nothing to do with the show's fictional shipwreck.

In November 1963, the production crew was in Hawaii filming footage for the series' pilot when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated.

The tragedy interrupted production. When filming resumed, the flag visible near the harbor was flying at half-staff.

That brief moment made its way into the show's first-season opening credits.

For generations, viewers watched the Minnow sail away without realizing that a small detail in the background reflected what was happening in the real world.

It's an extraordinary contrast: the beginning of one of television's most lighthearted sitcoms quietly preserving a moment of national grief.

Sometimes the smallest details in the shows we remember have the biggest stories behind them.
