Dans son discours, Rima Hassan a alerté sur le danger qui pèse sur l'État de droit, la démocratie et la liberté d'expression en raison des poursuites infâmes faites contre les défenseurs de la Palestine, et les élus d'opposition dont elle fait partie.

Jean-Luc Mélenchon était présent au rassemblement, ainsi que de nombreux députés et militants insoumis.

Drummer Neil Peart was absent due to tour commitments. The event was highlighted by speeches from Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and Donna Halper, a former radio personality who was instrumental in promoting Rush’s early music. Halper praised the band for their integrity and dedication to their music, noting their global influence and enduring fanbase. This recognition coincided with the band’s “Time Machine Tour” and the release of their documentary, Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage.
