@shuniverser yeah it’s hard being stuck in the middle cause i genuinely dgaf about hoyoverse or love and deepspace or alien stage, makes it hard to find merch of things you actually like at cons
@shuniverser attendees are gonna be selective with what they buy, and unfortunately they’ll go for the things they really like, aka whatever is popular T-T
@shuniverser it’s a massive lose-lose situation these days - artists need to make back what they spent on table, hotel, product, etc. especially as table costs are increasing. con attendees are also broke as ticket costs keep increasing, in the UK a weekend ticket at the biggest con is £100
I think the number of “anti-imperialists” who react to Iranians talking about their own oppression by talking about “The Epstein Class” just shows how shocking hollow and self-absorbed American leftism is.
People inside Iran are not symbols of anti-imperialism. They are not a tool for “bringing down the empire” for you. They are not there for you to hold up their corpses as symbols of the cruelty of the empire, and be silent whenever who killed them was the state you fetishize.
