National promising to pull a once in a generation opportunity to build a world class public transport system in Wellington (and the housing that goes with it). Unsurprising but still sad.
Tamati Coffey reverses his retirement decision to stand in the East Coast seat for Labour. With Kiritapu Allan stepping down, Tamati says the East Coast electorate needs an experienced MP to step into the breach. #nzpol

Why are people surprised at yet another National funding hole? 2017: their infrastructure policy had a $5.9 billion funding gap. And just 2 months ago it transpired National's tax plan had a $1.5 billion fiscal hole… and of course there was 2020. The party of unfunded promises.
How come this is not plastered all over the front pages of our print media and headlining TV news?
This is an absolute indictment on greedy forestry industry & the lack of skill by govts (PLURAL).
Replant Tairawhiti with indigenous forests.
Paid for by forestry owners & taxpayers
No whakatane venue took a booking for the roadshow, if ya know ya know.

Dear @nzherald just my regular plea for some balance in your political opinion pieces. It's not hard. For every pro-RW anti-LW opinion, publish a pro-LW opinion. That's balance. Surely you care about journalistic integrity.
The lead up to an election is not necessarily a time to see public debate at its best. There is a lot of negativity; for example, one commentator's view there is nothing to be proud of in our country at present. I checked the figures. Here are my findings.

Wow
That's 2 @actparty MPs in a week who deserve more media attention than an unsubstantiated year old rumour and a remark about a cry baby
Will @dbseymour be asked why his party is in disarray and will resignations be called for?

Show your impartiality

Nick Smith very long time MP for Nelson & minister in several National admins . Now as mayor of Nelson complaining how long it took before Labour starter building the new hospital. Must have slipped his mind before when having the chance to serve the people of his electorate.
As someone who has performed abortions on girls from as young as 12 ffs @NZNationalParty parents often don’t teach anything about sex, sexuality or reproduction. It’s not the 1950s anymore. Get real you bunch of christofundies!!
So..Labour are funding and building 3 major Hospitals
Whangarei partially complete
Nelson just starting and Dunedin has been in the pipeworks and soon to be commenced
@rnz_news@rnz_news Why quote NZ Initiative? Its intensely right wing coal-friendly climate change denial agenda (funded globally) is first & foremost focused on destabilising centrist govts, not about care for our people. Interview someone who's struggling financially instead.
