@TMacPhils I think you should make sure to look at the MLB record for the “homered in same game trivia question”
I believe the Phillies pair is way up their on the leader board all time.
.@TMacPhils do we know the record for “most consecutive plate appearances to start a career with no one on base” is? Kemp is looking 8 in the face here
Takes like this drive me nuts!
This is a constitutional crisis happening before our very eyes.
I prefer a politician who does an unpopular thing in the name of doing the right thing than cowering under political pressure to be popular.
@seanhackbarth@bdomenech If the workers suspect they won’t get paid anytime soon (they get back pay but do not get paid if the government is actively shut down) they have no incentive to not call out sick. It’s what happened back in 2018/2019
@jchitwood1369 @WJPB2021 @MLB@ToddZolecki In a year where a lot of people might think the NL East will be a race to 100 wins, I think it might be another race to 93-94.
Should be competitive, but Phillies should be seen as the team to beat until proven otherwise (which definitely could happen)
@jchitwood1369 @WJPB2021 @MLB@ToddZolecki I think the offense takes a step forward and pitching takes a step backwards. No rotation in MLB was more healthy than the Braves last year, and they are getting back Strider but losing Fried and Morton.
And Acuna in 2022 off his ACL was only good, not spectacular.
@esaagar@SaveStandard Work schedules are extremely dependent upon time zones, so they are socially constructed as well.
We could all use the same clock and then use local sun time to decide when the day should “start”
Would make coordination between different parts of the country much simpler.
@JamesRobichaux @1903hammerless @Tcho76521726@davidgaw@matthorsnell I find it weird when the argument is someone saying “the sun can’t go down before 5 PM. That’s wrong!” - it’s all arbitrary.
As someone who analyzes data across timezones, timezones and DST changes are a headache and a half.
