@RockNRoLL_85 Blackbird is a great song, but Blowing was an anthem, specifically during the Vietnam War.
My favorite Dylan compilation is the 30th Anniversary Concert. I have the CD and DVD. An amazing lineup of artists!
@ReturnofR The Who. Specifically “Tommy.” I heard it when I was 12 years old and it blew my mind. After that it was Genesis, Rush, Pink Floyd.. I could go on.
Also, growing up in the SF Bay Area, I was able to go to lots of concerts. I’m 60 and I still go to shows.
As a long time friend of TWS, I know that @WoodySHW has kids at that vulnerable age. I appreciate his desire to shelter them. So many kids are not as fortunate. I don’t immediately fault parents. Like many things kids are navigating a minefield. https://t.co/LGna8LqHFB
@bowwowmeowmeow No need to apologize. The web makes all kinds of mistakes. What matters is our humanity. As long as you’re down that.
OMG . I’m sounding like an introducer for the Grateful Dead
@bowwowmeowmeow There are a few results. I’m hoping that I’m shouting out the pet store in San Carlos, CA. We have two dogs, one old & a large puppy. We take them for grooming. BWM is so gentle with our old girl. They clearly care about their “clients.” I cannot say enough..
The Eiffel Tower at night. We had an impromptu dinner on the first observation deck. We were going to the oldest carnival in France, but after standing in line for over an hour with at least another hour before getting in we said ‘screw this.’ Overall we’ve been really lucky.
“Klassy.” I don’t know if she’s trying to be edgy or provocative but it just comes off as pathetic. If she walked into a restaurant or store I owned I’d refuse to serve her. Her friends were equally appalling. This was at the Eiffel Tower. Lots of kids around.
@ReturnofR It’s hard to pick just one, but I guess mine is Spirit of the Radio. “..glittering prizes and endless compromises shatter the illusion of integrity.” I love that line.
@RBlooms2021 It’s hard. Sometimes when I’ve been depressed I don’t want to go out, I don’t want to see anyone, and I get the minimum done. I hope you feel better soon.
@safelite You guys do great work. Miscommunication happens. Such is the world. In retrospect I should have been more flexible. Chalk it down to a bad day. I don’t mean to crap on your company. We’re going to continue using your services. The Bay Area is hell on windshields. Life goes on.
It took me a while to realize that @safelite Redwood City doesn’t care about customer service. They don’t have to because they think they have a monopoly on windshield/auto glass repair. They don’t. I’ve found 6+ competitors who want my business and won’t treat me like crap.
@safelite It’s not about a work order. I was told three hours, so I ran errands and got some walking in. When I came back they said “the window was 5pm.” At noon that was not what I was told. Your people do good work. Not the issue. I don’t mean to crap on the techs.
