@PositiveNewsUK The #pandemic has unmasked the need for better digital access. Digital tools enable communities to connect, all around the globe. We realize the need in our community and stand in solidarity with other nations to help support our students and communities in bridging the divide.
Digital connectivity is a social determinant of health. For everyone to access the same opportunities to move their lives forward in a digital environment, we need to bridge the #digitaldivide
The #COVID19 lockdowns have led millions of people to embrace #telecommuting and #ecommerce.
This shift from physical to virtual connectivity could durably transform our mobility patterns—and reshape the global transport market: https://t.co/3Ce4NUtZtK
@gbceducation To help and support students who are in predominantly black schools and low-income, underrepresented, 1st-generation college students, donate a device or money to help @philly_connects at https://t.co/MskzXYRMoK!
@gbceducation As the school year begins amidst the global pandemic, students are relying on technology and virtual resources to connect within and beyond the classroom.

@LinaHidalgoTX As relevant as the digital divide is within our own communities in Philadelphia, the mission to bridge the digital divide is relevant around the world, such as in rural parts of India.

@_xiomara7@iammikemuse At Philly Connects, we want to provide laptops and other needed resources to these communities to give them access to the resources they need to thrive and help bridge the education gap. To help us with this mission, please visit the link https://t.co/rI1cFsBxZW!
@_xiomara7@iammikemuse Due to Covid-19, schools have closed down, which forced 50 million K-12 public school students to learn remotely from home. Holistically, about 15-16 million of those students have adequate internet service or devices at home to make distance learning sustainable and effective.
@_xiomara7@iammikemuse On the other hand, nine million of those lack both adequate internet and devices. Without the proper tools and access to connectivity, how can a student feel motivated to keep going?
